FOR THE SEEKERS

Pumla Yurt

Sleeps 2 | From £139pn

Pumla, which means 'to relax' in isiXhosa, is a beautiful, calming cabin yurt in rural Herefordshire, designed for you to arrive, breathe in the mountain air and drink in the incredible view that opens out in front of you.

Like her sister cabin, Sky House Yurt, Pumla has a bespoke handmade wooden king-size bed, a wood-burner, and a well-equipped kitchen with a hob, oven, fridge freezer and kettle. You have your own private wet room with a walk-in shower, sink and flushing toilet, as well as complimentary vegan and cruelty-free toiletries.

There are also books, binoculars and a foraging card deck for slower hours, plus bedding, towels and cosy dressing gowns to make settling in easy.

We created Pumla to break the mould on yurt glamping in the UK. That's why the front of the cabin is shaped around huge picture windows, giving you wide views across the surrounding Herefordshire hills from wherever you are inside. If this is your first glamping holiday or yurt stay, we promise it won't disappoint.

Outside, your private deck holds a generous tin bath for open-air soaking under starry skies (Kaya sits on the edge of a Dark Sky Reserve), while a private wet room gives you an invigorating walk-in shower, flushing toilet and vegan, cruelty-free toiletries.

Pumla is only 2 miles from Wales, with The Cat’s Back ridge (part of the Black Mountains) a 20-minute walk uphill from the door. From here you can also walk into Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly Brecon Beacons National Park) and beyond. Simply lace up your walking boots and set off with one of our pre-made walking maps guiding you. Pumla - with her warmth and soft comforts - will be ready and waiting for you when return.
